Christensen pens letter to Chelsea fans
Andreas Christensen has opened up on the “mentally tough” final months of his Chelsea career and says few people understand just how much the club means to him.
Christensen, who spent 10 years at Chelsea, is set to join Barcelona as a free agent after leaving Stamford Bridge at the end of his contract, his departure along with that of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid leaving Thomas Tuchel with a major defensive rebuild on his hands this summer.
Chelsea were unhappy with the manner of his departure and believe he went back on an agreement to stay.

Brentford appoint rugby sevens guru
Brentford have appointed rugby sevens guru Ben Ryan as their new Director of Elite Performance.
Ryan is best known for leading Fiji to Olympic gold when rugby sevens made its debut at Rio 2016, delivering the country’s first ever medal at the Games, and was also England head coach for six years before that.
The 50-year-old’s arrival in the newly created role is part of a restructure of the Bees’ leadership following the departure of co-Director of Football Rasmus Ankersen last year.

Chelsea set Kounde deadline
Amid all the talk of De Ligt, Chelsea fans may have forgotten about Jules Kounde.
The Sevilla defender was widely expected to arrive this summer after a move last year fell through, and Thomas Tuchel remains interested despite links with Barcelona.
According to the Daily Mirror, however, those at Stamford Bridge have been set a strict deadline.
Sevilla are believed to have told Chelsea a deal must be completed by July 5, in order to allow them to focus on their own recruitment plans.

Eriksen to reject Man United
What a sign of the times.
Christian Eriksen will reject the chance to join Manchester United, reports talkSPORT, with the midfielder now likely to stay at Brentford.
A more lucrative offer is on the table to move to Old Trafford but Eriksen is prioritising a guaranteed starting sport in London.
Tottenham were interested but are not looking elsewhere, so it appears all roads lead back to the Bees!
